A2P 10DLC SMS Registration & Carrier Compliance Guide
U.S. business texting requires Brand and Campaign 10DLC registration — match your legal name/EIN, add SMS opt-in on forms, and wait for carrier approval (3–10 business days).
All U.S. business texting runs over 10-digit long codes (10DLC) and requires mandatory A2P Brand and Campaign registration before any SMS can send.
Your registered Brand must match the IRS Legal Business Name and EIN on file — or, for sole proprietors, use the Sole Proprietor registration path.
Every public form that collects a phone number for SMS must include a required SMS opt-in checkbox before submission.
SMS features remain locked until carrier approval completes — typically 3 to 10 business days. You'll be notified in the Client Portal when texting goes live.
